The Emerald Society is supporting the Chicago Police Memorial Foundations Fundraiser on Sunday, August 29th, 2010 , 1:00- 5:00 pm at Lizzie McNeill's, 400 N. McClurg Ct. $20.00 donation includes all food and beverages. Parking $6.00 with validation. All proceeds will benefit the Chicago Police memorial Foundation's Catastrophically Injured Statue Project. The Emerald Society Board of Directors is asking its membership to support this noble cause.

There will be live Irish music and activities, beverages, food after the run so plan on spending the day with the family.

The event is to celebrate and educate the public on Celtic music and culture from the 7 Celtic Nations. The Charitable organization for 2010 will be the Chicago Police Chaplain's Ministry. The registration fee of $25.00 includes a kilt which is encouraged to be worn at the start of the event. The kilt will be able to be worn over the shorts or sweats of the runner.

The 2010 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Kick Off Viewing Party is Saturday, Food, and beverages will be available for purchase and the game will be shown on multiple large screen TV monitors. We are hosting a large viewing party at Gaelic Park where you can promote your business, products and services to the fans! We are offering on-air, on-line and on-site opportunities! This is a great way to associate your business with Notre Dame Football and NBC Chicago! Parking provided and no entry fee.

Emerald Society of Illinois 35th Anniversary Dinner Dance (New Item)

The Emerald Society of Illinois is hosting is 35th Anniversary Dinner Dance on Friday, September 24th, 2010 at Gaelic Park, 6119 W. 147th St., Oak Forest, IL. Social hour 7:00pm, Dinner 8:00pm. Our Irishman of the Year is Judge John Griffin, President of Gaelic Park. We will also be honoring a number of Police Officers of Irish ancestry for their outstanding acts of bravery. Ads for our program book for the event are available as are tickets for the Dinner Dance. This will be an evening to come out an support your fellow Irish brothers and sister in Law Enforcement and also celebrate the success of the Emerald Society for the past 35 years. We hope all Emerald Society members will attend this Gala Event. Live music by Barry Finbar Fagan, Bagpipes and Drums of the Emerald Society, lots of wonderful gift baskets, and a Grand Door Prize to The Irish Cottage Hotel in Galena, IL.

Arrowhead District, Boy Scouts of America, is sponsoring the "Southside Scout Bash"

at 115 Bourbon Street on September 24, 2010.

Arrowhead District serves all Scouting aged youth from 79th Street on the north into the Suburbs and from Vincennes Avenue to Harlem Avenue.

Tickets are $25.00 in advance or $35.00 at the door.

Live entertainment, food and a silent auction.

Music will be provided by two live bands, SLIPPERY WHEN WET and FIRECHICKEN.
